Developing web content for a desktop is one thing, creating it for a mobile phone is another. A cell phone and a personal computer are two unique devices that largely differ on size and memory. Creating internet content for mobile devices requires a fair knowledge on WAP (Wireless Application Protocol). A phone browser must only have small memory requirements compared to ordinary ones used in a desktop. Thus the developer is obliged to create a separate version of their site if they want it to be available on cellular phones. That is why it looks different, sometimes weird, if you try to compare the two.
